dog attacked my dog

A pit bull up the street just attacked my dog while on a walk. It did not get her as she stayed behind me.
This is the same dog that attacked my neighbors dog and tore it up pretty good a few mouths ago.
As it came after my 13lb jack I kicked pretty good about 4x before I got the chance to pick her up and get her out of there. If this would have been some one else it may have gone badly.

Ya, I just went back to make sure it was back in it yard with the gate closed. it was out in the street. it saw me and whet back in the yard as i went for the gate it charged and got another good kick!
It's now locked up.

on the way back I saw a guy with 2 small dogs 1/2 a block away that pit would have killed them I am sure.

I just saw the owner as I was writing down her address. she asked what I was doing and I told her about the attack.

Animal control has been called and they say they are on the way.


I didn't pouch her in the throat or kick her in the c*** tho.

My dogs won't leave the yard because that's the way I trained them, but they're black labs. I've come really close to shooting dogs that I don't know approaching my dogs, but we live out in the boonies. A "warning shot" is all it takes and I don't see them again.

I believe that there are no bad dogs, just owners. So I am not hating any pedigree, but if a known dog that is aggressive and came at me and my dog I am pretty sure it would get a .45 round in the head.

This is the third time the AC and a police report has been done. I talked to the AC officer and he said dogs in Glen dale do not have to be on a leash or behind a fence. there are 4 dogs in my building and it has attacked 3 of them.
The police don't seem to care one bit that this dog is a repeat offender. The lady up stirs said they thought she was lying
when it attacked her daughter and small dog.

I just don't get it.

A "warning shot" would be out of the question around here there would be 100 folks out in a minute of the shot and I would be hunted down like Frankenstein with touches and pitchforks.
