Does this look like a Canadian M101 axle hub (1 Viewer)

Dan,
I think 31s would fit without an issue unless you were planning on flexing it out. Stock tires are 7.00x15 which I believe converts over to 29".

Perch height is between 1/2" and 5/8" can't tell for sure.

Hope the pics help.

Does anyone have a website or part numbers for a wheel bearing rebuild? I'd need the inner and outer bearings, seals, and what ever else I need to rebuild the bearings.

Does anyone know the size of the axle retaining nut? I'd need to get a socket for it and don't know the size.

Pretty sure the P/Ns are in the link on post 18. Mine had the timken P/Ns. If you have a socket for your toyota bearing, it will work just fine.

Edit - to clarify... this is for a M100.

Does anyone know the exact size for the bearing locknut? I saw a post that my 40s will work but don't know that size. Prefer to just buy one before thus summer when I won't have access to an auto store. Thanks, Dan

Hey guys.

Just brought my m100 home. It needs a new floor, the springs taken apart and replaced, rust holes fixed, new paint and a bunch of other plans like a hinged metal cover with a roof top carrier mounted on it, a cage for my roof rack welded up and my 4x8 Conferr off my FJC. No need for it on that with it on the trailer and I am happy to not hear the wind blowing around the rack and the gas milage improvement.

With all the advise I got, I was able to rebuild the axles and slap on some tires without problems. I just used he same size tires that were on it (29")but will swap those out for some 31" ATs. It help to have everything with me because any parts I might have needed was 2 ferry rides away and $120 for the round trip. Not to mention it takes the whole day to make the trip.

Towed back without any problems. Only issue was that I can't see the trailer out my review or side mirrors. Temporarily added a 1.5 foot metal bar to each side of the tailgate and put marker lights on ends so I could see it and change lanes safely. Even adding 3 feet in width with the extensions, the trailer was exactly as wide as the FJC. I put my roof rack travel boxes and carrier in the trailer so nothing was above my head. Without all that wind resistance and weight on the roof and even towing the trailer, my gas milage improved a few miles per gallon on the way home. Also keeping the speed down improved gas consumption. Unfortunately, driving between 55-65 instead of 65-75 for 1,400 miles adds an hour or so to each day compared to the way up.

Will post pictures soon along with a list of specific improvements and modifications I will be doing over the winter for next year. Just drove for 3 days, rode on 3 ferries, crossed an international border (much harder going through the northern border than apparently just walking through the holes in the fence and getting free bus and plane tickets at the southern border...heck, don't even need identification) and drove through 3 state capitals. I just backed it into the garage and shut the door for tonight.

Thanks again for all those that helped me identify the trailer and the parts I needed.

Dan

Glad things worked out. The fix wasn't too big a deal, but the logistics sure were. Happy to be of assistance.
