From the looks of it yes, but its always a good idea to check it out yourself.

so that knob is the locker...? i am most likely going to have to purchase with no inspection from afar as i must have the rear locker and trying to buy a southern truck as i am up here in new england.

Yes, that is the "press and turn" switch for the rear locker.
(But that doesn't necessarily say that the truck has a working rear locker)

Post in chat and see if there's anyone in the area willing to go check it out for you. I'm 99% sure its got a locker, but I've also heard some stories before about the switch being purely cosmetic.

Here in the US only the LX had the LSD. You guys in the UAE get just about anything though so who knows! :flipoff2:

Look on the rear end housing facing the rear bumper and it will have a sticker that says "LSD fluid only." I can get you a picture if you want. Hopefully mine's clean enough to see it. I never knew it was on there till I power washed it once after some nasty mud.

If you're buying from a distance, be careful with the locker - there have been some unscrupulous sellers on ebay who show a pic of the locker switch, but the pic is from another cruiser (this is mostly on 80's). I feel like most 98-99's have the locker, so it probably does - but I'd want to be sure.

Yes, you should be looking for the switch on the dash just to the left of the steering column, but then bend down in front of the right rear wheel and look at the rear diff. The locker will have a electric servo motor and a wiring harness going to it on the right side above the pinion.
