Does someone make a receiver hitch that bolts to rear crossmember

Look closely at johns picture above, now what do you see that's missing? Hooks for the safety chain.

Buck

Search for "GI chain plate" to solve this issue. It bolts sandwiched between the hitch and the bumper. There are ears on each side where you hook your safety chains. Works for Uncle Sam, so is suitable for LandCruiser use. That's what I have on mine.

YOU FRICKEN ROCK....

Been looking for a much better solution than I came up with for my slee receiver.

Jet skis, jon boat, utility trailer full of junk to the dump. That kind of stuff. Maybe 2000lbs.

The hitch comes with traingulated reinforcement for under the truck. I would say it is plenty strong for anything someone would want to tow with an 80 series.

Does it interfere with the spare tire and what does the "triangulated reinforcement" look like? This is the exact solution I am looking for but not sure about the $195 price tag.

Does anyone know what size bolts (thread and length) goes in the threaded holes?

I bought Toyota ones for the 100 series. They use torx socket and are black for super stealth.

Out of the box no, you can not use the spare tire carrier. I know of at least one person who modified it where he could though.

I could post a pic or two tonight. Try a search for user name "VanGo". I thick he posted pics of his modified version. What's funny is returned it back to "stock" and I bought it from him.

Reviving an OLLLLLD thread. I guess that's my thing here having got my 100 series pretty late in the game.

Is there a simple solution to getting a secondary hitch mounted to the cross member for low duty bike carrying + Ability to tow with the low hitch? My bike rack needs to get up about 8" to maintain the stock (with low hitch) clearance. I'm either thinking about getting a hitch riser/splitter or trying to weld something in the rear cross member and just installing the rack in to this receiver.

Any ideas for 2020 available options would be much appreciated fellow mudders!

Slee has one that rides higher I think. There was another recent thread about this.

I went on slee's site today to find one that I found from a recommendation in another thread but it looks to be discontinued. All they have is 80 series and FJ fitments. Would one of those work?

You'd have to review in the 100 series section. This the 80 section and I figured you had a reason you wanted one.

I have no idea if it will fit the 100 series.

Check with @65swb45 he just took delivery on some parts that kinda look like one.....

I see a few options for this:

Slee says that theirs is meant for their bumper.

Manafre says it's class 2 and meant for 2,000lbs. Is the rating definitely lower than the dedicated hitch? I'm just finding it very easy to drag. Not totally sure if these would be any higher. Ideally, maybe it could stick straight out from the bolted area.

Would this work?

Edit: Another option, for bumper mount: Curt Pintle Hook & 2" Ball Combo Trailer Hitch w Mounting Hardware 48190 | eBay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/164618184484?hash=item2654022724:g:PBcAAOSwJB1f7jNP
