Best I've ever seen, cruising some back roads in central TN:

I bet you it doesn't stay that way after 30 mins of driving.

Just out of curiosity, but do we actually trust the trip computer as being 100% accurate? My 2002 doesn't have one so I calculate MPG by the number of miles driven (after a fillup) divided by the number of gallons pumped to bring the tank back to full. I think that's the ONLY true way to gauge MPG for the average Joe.

ObdII app will give you accurate mpg consumption

Yes.

This was from K-falls to Portland. I-97/Hwy 58/I-5. Average speed was artificially low because I got stuck in a long drive-through line at Eugene McDonald's trying to get fast coffee, mid 60s on 97/58 and 70 on I-5.

Trip from KRNO to KLMT was (IIRC) 20.2, somehow I can't find that picture. Should have framed it. Came up 395.

That's impressive but speed is factor here and if I go with 60mph might be able to get close to that.

Bone stock my rig pulled about 14.5 around town. Now, I'm getting about 13.2. I've added a ton of weight and raised it up. I'm not complaining at all.

Yah, I average about 15 according to the computer. I just took that pic as I figured i'd never see a number that high again. I honestly couldn't care less about gas milage, never figure it out via pump / odometer. I just like to drive.

Just did a 1,600 mile trip to visit family in Colorado. Best fill up was 17mpg, worse was 11.5mpg and average was 13.5mpg. Lots of wind and a set of skis on the roof. Not bad for a 250k mile tank!

Portland, OR to Bellevue, WA with some surface streets and drive-by coffee shops in both towns. The car is stock, regular Michelin tires from my Lexus dealer with the factory recommended pressure back and front, premium fuel, max comfort setting. March 2, 2016, odo has 158880 miles

I drive mostly highway, where I usually get 16+ MPG. This week, I just got 18.2 MPG, which is the highest I've seen yet. It was on a tankful of 100% gasoline, vs the 10% ethanol that most stations sell. I've always read that ethanol is not as efficient as pure gas - I guess it's true.
