My local Sears has a set of 4 take offs (they said less than 100 miles) for $99 each + install. Size is LT 285-75-16. I never had these before & just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with them. I searched but did not find much on the A/Ts. I will use them mostly on road but also take it to the beach and hunting in TX hill country.

Sounds like a good deal. Dunlop makes excellent tires. I'd look carefully at them 1st and see what your gut says before you sign on the dotted line. If they are what they claim, I think you'll be happy with them. And welcome to the addiction! :flipoff2:

I got them. They look good on and so far so good over the last few days they ride good. Thanks

I run them on mine. I use it mainly for towing motorcycles, camping, family truckster duties. They've worked well on highway and light off roading. I've not done any hard core mud running because, well, IH8mud.

I went through 2 sets of them on a discovery II. Those tires were the best part of that setup. As far as I know the second set is still on that vehicle.

If they are as the seller says I would get them. Why are they take offs. Was one or more out of round? I had a dunlop like that once. The tire store wanted to "shave it". I said hell no, this is a new set of tires. Replace with new until the problem is solved. We resolved it on the third tire and I will never buy from that bunch of fools again.

These tires where on my truck at purchase.
They are nice and quite for freeway commuting.

I use them for weekend duty of getting out in the local mountains.

They are not aggressive, but neither am I. I have yet to go anywhere where the tires would not let me go.

Overall - good for what they are - everything has to be in "perspective"...

I think for your sand and hunting trips, you should be just fine!
