Does anyone have a 91-93 LC in Dark Gray Metallic?

I need you to check your production label in the door jamb and tell me what your paint code is. Look on the label for "C/TR" or "Color/Trim" and the first three characters after that will be the paint code. I show that it is 183, but I'm running into a problem with some other Toyota cars that share that same color... and I have a mistake somewhere. Thanks!

That color is called moon-glow in the 80-Series. I can look up the code if you don't get a response soon.

Agreed.

183 it is. That is what my documents indicate.

Thanks guys. I show the same code on the 91-92 Cressida and 91-92 Corolla as Dark Gray Metallic.

I ALSO show that Blue Slate Metallic is code 183 and is on the 93-95 Lexus GS and 96-97 Celica. I haven't heard back from anyone but you guys yet, but I'm thinking that I might have the Lexus and Celica code wrong.

I think 183 goes back a lot farther than you think.

I had a 1984 Xtra Cab 4WD truck that was tutone grey and white. I think the grey was 183.

Just saw the link in your sig line...thanks! I enjoyed reading the brochure for my 80.

not quite what you asked but 1994 paint code 183, blue slate metallic.

I have a two-tone white/gray scheme on the 84 Truck that was code 2P7 and consisted of 033 white and 143 Dark Gray Metallic. Not 183. :)

MoJ, that actually helped a LOT! I had the wrong color code for 1994 and thought it was a completely different color. The 1994 brochure makes it look like a very dark blue. Now that you shouted out your code I can fix the chart to show that Toyota changed the name of that color THREE TIMES from 1991-1994. It started as Medium Gray Metallic in 1991, then was called Dark Gray Metallic in 92 and 93 and finally Blue Slate Metallic in 1994.

Well, considering that I parted with that truck 20 years ago I would say that two out of three on the color code was not too bad...
