Hey guys
Well, i'm just about to order some differential fluid for my truck, as well as trans/transfercase oil, I am thinking about a case of Amsoil 80w-90, and I am going to change everything then not worry about it for ten more years, this was done when i got the truck about ten years ago.
Can't remember if I added a friction modifier last time for the differentials, does anyone know if these are limited slip? Does toyota recommed a friction modifier?
Pretty sure The 80w-90 Amsoil GEAR LUBE is what I used last time, my transmission has always shifted nice, as well as the transfercase, honestly seems nicer then when I got it.
If someone has anything that is even better, I haven't ordered yet and this stuff is quite spendy, I am always open to suggestions. I know there is a wealth of knowledge out there, so please school me. I don't play in the water, and I plan to check out all my vent lines and possibly replace at the same time, as well as the one way valves.
I just know when I switched from MTF honda to GM syncromesh in my integra years ago, I was shocked at the instant difference, nothing really wrong with the MTF, but omg syncromesh is like magic. They likely needed it in GM trannies just so they "work" hehe.
Any comments are appreciate
Eric
