I posted this in expedition builds as well. People need to know.

So, I was looking for some remote reservoir shocks for the GX470 build and thought I would try Dobinsons. I ordered some MRA59-A575the following day i contacted sales to ask for an update and expected ETA on the order. David replied asking someone to update me on the order with no reply. The following day I emailed David and said that since no one seems to be getting back to me on the order I am going to cancel the order. At which time I (shame on me) did not realize, they have a cancelation charge of 10% DOGS! Read the fine print and shop where people care about you.

Day one you ordered, day two you asked for an update, and day three you cancelled for lack of contact?

I get that you wanted to know when they were going to ship but if I’m tracking you right that’s a bit unreasonable I think.

Off-road and outdoor companies are swamped right now with high demand. A little grace goes a long way. They’re people just like you trying to do their jobs and do right by the customer. I don’t think it would have killed you to wait a few days for a response. I don’t think you’ll find sympathy here for your impatience with a reputable and highly respected (in general) company.

The two above me hit the nail on the head. Nothing is easy to get these days and that includes communication.

Not looking for sympathy! Looking for customer service. Communication is the easiest thing a company can do. I know I've owned a business for over 35 years. So, if you like being treated like this, do business with them! It's your time and your money. As for me, I will spend my money elsewhere.

Amazon has set the bar high! Amazon even tells you if you order in the next 2 hours and 52 minutes, they can deliver the next day! Lol

I mean maybe a phone call next time instead of screwing around via email if expediency on reply is what you wanted. Email gives zero sense of haste in a request.

Since you brought it up... What's your business? How many employees?

You come across as a demanding pain in the butt to deal with. You 100% brought this outcome on yourself.

He posted this on club lexus as well. Communication is the key yet no phone call. How many emails do businesses receive daily?

When I ordered my IMS's I just got my conformation order email and then sometime later they showed up. When you order OME at SummitRacing it's a drop ship from OME and takes forever. I didn't bother following up and yet they still showed up. I just don't consider my time as a priority over someone else's.

Update: So, I spoke with David this morning and we had the chance to clear some things up on both sides. End result, with all things leading up to this purchase and lack of communication, things could have been handled differently. The fact that he cares enough about his customers to reach out and have a conversation tells me a lot about him and his company. Thank you David I appreciate it!
