Hey mud,

I bought what appears to be a Dobinson's caster plate kit, but it didn't come with the supplied bolts. the upper bolts (front of axle, upper section) were tricky to try and size, and as a result (real time) I used the bolts that were in the stock location in that upper area. The bolts were certainly smaller diameter than the hole, which gave them some wiggle room.

Anyway, torqued it all down, and took a test drive. The steering feel is back to normal, but I'm getting a knocking noise at lower speeds, and wondering if I need to use a correct bolt for that upper piece. The lower and rear bolts are 5/8".

Anyway, here is a pic of the bolt that is in question. Would that bolt, if undersized, cause the knocking noise? Or am I hearing the U-joint or something else?

thanks in advance,
