Do the 18" Heritage rims need special lug nuts?

The saga to find my winter rims has narrowed to the Heritage type rims (a bit more than I was hoping to spend, but will be covered by the total loss money from my Touareg) will the stock lugs fit?

Merry Xmas

Factory lugs do not work. You need mag style lugs, either OEM or aftermarket. McGard makes a good product. Search TRD pro wheels and mcgard for some examples and part numbers

Those wheels are very expensive to be using as winter beaters, but hey it's your money.

I think you are mistaken.

Here are the lug nuts that Toyota use on the 2021 Heritage edition cruisers:

I ordered 20 of them to replace the chrome lug nuts on my OEM wheels, and they are the exact same size - totally interchangeable.

So... If the 2021 LC200 that @siberian has incoming has the stock alloy wheels, then the stock lug nuts should work with the Heritage edition wheels he also has incoming.

Toyota dealers sell these black lug nuts for around US$17 (plus shipping) each for a set of 5:

But the same lug nuts are available on Amazon for about US$25 (including shipping) for 5 of them:

PT076-0C200-02 on Amazon

I'm glad to be proven wrong, and would welcome anyone else who has direct experience with these lug nuts, to confirm for @siberian that his stock lug nuts will work.

Good point, I'll mount those for summer. Now I just have to find someone to send me the rims for a reasonable shipping cost.

The OEM chrome stock lugs work, but the OEM black lug nuts look way better tbh.

They’re the same OEM black lug nuts that come on the previous gen Tundra TRD Pro’s as well.

Do you happen to have a part number for the black ones please?

Gaijin got the right part number above, but it’s:

PT076-0C200-02

You’ll need 4 packs since they come in sets of 5.

Fine Jesus time to go shopping
Local dealer (norm reeves) has them for $16 a pack. I like the parts guys there and it’s always an excuse for free coffee.

check Toyota El Cajon as well. May be a few $ cheaper

Thanks @gaijin ! Ordered as it was the last one left (and free shipping)

Check cleared on the 22nd but can't get hold of the f* salesperson as to when they plan to ship the car. Umpteen text messages, no return calls... Would definitely not deal with BMW of Des Moines...

OK $500 shipping for the rims and arriving early January; before the black lug nuts. Got hold of someone in the sales dept. - salesperson is out, claims he tried to email me etc. Interesting when it comes time for you to mail them a check or sign a document there's never an issue. When they need to send you something it's always "well our mail server has been acting up".

So now we're waiting for a driver to be assigned for transport to Bellingham, from there on barge to Anchorage and then freighted up here via Rightway Transport. A quick trip to the tire place to replace the AS Michelin or whatever they put on these cars by some studded Nokian and then the mods begin starting with removal of the third row seat, LED reverse light pod, winterize it (battery, oil pan and tranny heating pad)...

Thank you for your help!

Sounds like quite an ordeal to get it home

Another option…. Post in the Mud section about transport and you can probably find a hardcore cruiser head that likes adventure that’d probably drive it home for ya for cost of fuel

Couple years ago when I had more time off, I’d jump on that opportunity

I’ve driven from San Diego to Arctic Circle 3x, Canada between WA and AK is my happy place

Thanks for the pointer and offer. Alas, I wouldn't drive it on AS tires. and the dealership seemed to have problems despite me pointing them to a Nokian distributer to fit them on. So I just told them to ship the car already.

However even the transport folks don't drive it up they barge it up for a reason not least is the few gas stations open this time of year on the 1,000 mile Alcan or Cassiar Highway.

But yes, everything is an ordeal to get stuff up here alas.
