I have a 2001 LC purchased with 221k on it. Had it baselined when I bought it, then the timing belt, valve cover gasket, etc.

It did well for most of the year aside from a Freon leak.

Within the last two weeks, my alternator went out, then bank 1 sensor 1 went out and then finally the power steering.

Could this all somehow be related to replacement of a failing then failed alternator or am I paying somehow for past sins?

I’m about to throw in the towel on this 100.

The only potentially expensive item would be the power steering, have you had it checked?

Have you noticed any leaks?

I love my 2001 LX with 227k miles, but it’s cost me $9,000+ in maintenance/repairs over the last 70,000 miles since purchase. Stuff breaks. At least it’s fully depreciated. :)
