DixieLand Cruisers Camping Trip​
Talladega National Forest: Nov 9-11​
We are planning a camping trip Nov 9-11 to Talladega National Forest. This will be more of an expedition/overland style trip where we will be riding throughout TNF during the day and camping at different spots each night. You will need to be self sufficient for the weekend to include meals, fuel, water, tent, camping gear etc for the whole weekend. We encourage you to bring your family and friends!

Day 1 - Friday 11/9

Meet up at Tractor Supply on Hwy 280 in Chelsea @ 3:30pm. We will convoy from here down to Sylacauga, where we will hook up on forest road 600-1. We will camp off 600-1 for Friday night.

Day 2 - Saturday 11/10

Wake up, cook breakfast, drink coffee, pack up. Finish trail 600-1 and hook up to 600-2. After we finish 600-2 we can either continue on to Cheaha State Park or explore other parts of TNF to find our camp spot for night 2.

Day 3 - Sunday 11/11

Pack up and head back home.

DANG. As most of you know, I have friends getting married that Saturday in Huntsville. Y’all have fun.
 
Going to Overland Expo or Id be in- sounds like a great weekend!
 
I'm tentatively looking to change the meeting time to Friday @ 3:30pm. Since daylight savings was yesterday, it will be dark by 5:15pm. That should give us enough time to get to the trail head and find camp before dark. Is that ok with everyone? @bamabrock @girupb @Quinn @fletch301 @sandrettorock

And to think, Auburn is on a winning streak against Saban.
We got two more weeks of that ...for the next few years.

It's been a topic of conversation a few times at meetings & wrench parties and I believe the plan is since they will be going the opposite direction the plan is to meet them in a "passby".
The pig ride on one day can only be 55's so there really isn't any reason to try to ride with them.
 
Hope y'all didn't freeze. It was bloody freaking cold and damn is it dark out there at night. Hope y'all has a good time. I kept an eye out, but guess we were rolling in different directions.

Well DANG! I shoulda guessed that was y'alls GX with Rick... I had a blast at the wedding/reception/afterparty I went to, but it shole woulda been fun to be at either of these gatherings,
