plotting my first brake job on the 80..reading the FSM seems I have everything I need. Well, except "disc brake grease" . I have all purpose grease, what do you think? do I need to make a special trip to get the disc brake grease?

You can get a small tube (which is more than enough for the job) of the synthetic brake caliper grease at the auto store for like $1.99. You may have to ask for it at the counter. I've heard tell, the all purpose grease is not adequate for this application. Don't remember why.

Grease cannot hold up to the heat and will dry up, if you cannot find any of the small pouches at your local parts store you can get slyglide at Napa, a good high temp silicone grease will do also
