Hi bro. It's been months, your transmission. anything changed, is the gear shifting better?

Blew a tire at 15k miles while driving on the highway, and so replaced all 4 with slightly bigger tires. Issue still present, but the larger tires both soften the "clunk" (which is a sudden shift to 1st), and it happens less often. Driving like I'm in a 6000lb suv and less like I'm in a Porsche 911 also makes it better

Any update with yours? Still same case?
Mine has the same issue and dealer checked it and said that there was nothing bad when connect it to computer.
Just had it service, asked for potential tranny updates. Official line was "normal operation, try driving in sport mode."
My service guy thinks that we'll eventually have an update, but who knows when.
It's the only flaw in the vehicle that bugs me, but I've shifted my driving style a bit by accelerating more slowly after a stop, and I've noticed that the vehicle takes a moment to figure out gearing while the turbo's spool up, then I can speed up. It's just an extra 0.5 second or so of waiting rather than just hitting the gas hard, and I rarely have the "clunk."
Still love it otherwise, 20k miles and counting.
I think mine is different, it is the same condition but not when accelerating it is when slowing down at 2nd gear maybe and sometimes at 1st.
First time, the QC guy when took a ride with it said he would check the recall list as my production is 7-2021 and there are some cars need to replace the whole gear on this production duration but then he came and said your car are not on the list and will make update.
He didn’t make the update lastly on the second day and they said it is normal.
First time with Toyota and enjoying with it also but this issue is annoying and should learn to control it when slowing down.

We shall see. Been happy so far, and the LS 500 version has been reliable. Only issue is the wastegate and crankshaft problem with the tundra version, which I believe has been corrected.
Early adopter problems. Only time will tell the truth.
My LC300 Land Cruiser model 2023 has clunk when gear downshifting / slowdown from 40 to 25 Km. dealer says this minor issue & seems normal for them however i checked my friend LC300 and found gear working normal and shifting smooth without any problems !!! I started thinking to sale lc300 really disappointed

same problem.
Just to let you know all that lc300 model 2024 has no clunk in downshifting at all , looks like they fixed the issue on the new models if not mistaken
My 2024 I just picked up is really jerky under moderate acceleration unless the pavement is 100% perfect like smooth as ice. Feels almost like its low on transmission fluid and slipping.
Guess I will take it in before I start modifying it.

Ok I actually tested it earlier and paid attention, the throttle is jumping around under smooth steady pedaled acceleration. (Like press and hold exactly in that spot)
Smooth moderate acceleration and the RPMs are bouncing on the tach. Feels like trash in an old carburetor, I mean almost exactly like an old Ford Pickup with old gas and trash floating in the system
. If a shade tree mechanic can fix that Lexus can fix this.
Its probably some NVH programming run amuck. Hopefully this can be fixed. Its very annoying. It shouldn’t be a major undertaking from their engineering department.

I have recently did a transmission frameware update as part of the earlier recall and I have noticed an improvement in shifting. It doesn't fully solve the problem but it kinda improved it. I thought maybe it was just my feelings but I also had a friend who also done the update and noticed an improvement... Maybe good for othera who have done the update to share some thoughts as well.
I have done firmware update but saw no difference. Overall it was difficult to drive in stop and go traffic from the purchase. I needed to get rpm in 2.5k range to get this thing move. What somewhat helped is that I got a habit to be light on the gas pedal and whenever starting to go uphill, I pressed gas just light enough to move a hair forward with the lowest rpm possible. Now it seems to be locked in 1st gear much longer even when I don't hold gas and even when rolling downhill it is still locked in a gear and ready to accelerate. Downside is that it tends to decelerate much more now. Torgue converter locked in ? It is a major change in driving habit from 200 ->lx600 and I am disappointed. While traveling I rented ford expedition with what seems to be a similar v6 turbo and it feels much easier to drive around town, it torques well between 1-2K rpm and even at 80mph has plenty of juice to accelerate (although less snappy then lx on a highway).
