Dinner and Raffle for 25th Rubithon

Hello all, there has been great discussion and debate on when we should do the dinner and raffle at Rubithon this year.

The two options:

1. Hold both on Saturday night, allowing those that can not come early to make it in time for both

2. Hold both on Friday night, so the people that have to travel farther will have Saturday or Sunday to exit.

What's your thoughts?

Greg, if you gotta leave, I'll watch your raffle tickets fer ya......

I'm going to weigh in my personal thought on this. The problem I have with doing it on Friday is the people that are on the Friday runs have the chance of missing out on a great dinner from Woody and our incredible raffle. That can end up being a lot of attendees if there is any trouble on the trail coming in. I think doing the Marauder Bar on Friday, with the dinner/raffle on Saturday takes care of the issue of people drinking at the Bar and headed out on Saturday morning as well. Who would want to miss the dinner and raffle? We have the dates of the event are out early enough that people should be able to arrange an day off on Monday if they need the extra day to travel. These are just my .02 and ramblings

For what it's worth - do both on Saturday night (but we'll be there either way, and yes I did click on 'Saturday')

Saturday. It will also give us time for horseshoes, kids games, RC crawls, etc.

Also, more time for socializing, etc.

Thanks for the input from everyone. The decision is made, and the Dinner and Raffle will be on Saturday. Come hungry and ready to win big at the Raffle. Several other events for the week are in the works and will be posted up on the Rubithon.com website and I will keep updates posted here as well.

Look for the registration to be in the next Toyota Trails. Also this year, going to try to do an online registration through the Rubithon.com website. I'll post up here when it's all set up!
