So, the 47 is the longest LC ever built, right?
Is there something between the 40 and the 45?

Don't know. I bet wheelbases are posted in the FAQs or tech links or in the 45 section...
I imagine the 41, 42, 43 and 44 would be between the 40 and 45.

The FJ43 or BJ43, the BJ44, and the BJ46 are all mid-length wheelbase. The FJ40, BJ40, FJ42, BJ42 are short-wheelbase. The 45 and 47 versions all have the same longer wheelbase, come in gassers(FJ) or diesels(BJ, HJ), and pickup, Troopy, or station-wagon styles. There is a shorty FJ45 in the mix just to confuse things.

I believe Brasil used the 50 number series.

40 and 42 are shorties
43 and 44 are middies
45 and 47 are troopies/trucks/45LV is a station wagon

F designates an inline 6 cylinder gasser motor (F or 2F)
B designates a diesel 4 cylinder (2B or 3B)
H designates a diesel 6 cylinder

In the states FJs are most common followed by BJs and HJs.

I have a feeling Spike Strip and I had the same smart ass comment in mind.

41 is a shorty as well

Perhaps I am mis-imformed but I was under the impression that the only difference between the HJ45 and the HJ47 was the engine. The HJ45 has the "H" diesel and the HJ47 has the "2H".
Other than that I thought they were the same vehicle.
.........1978HJ45 (pickup)

You would want a Troopy frame if you want to do a camper modification it is the longest of frames to work with along with the longest wheel base, the 43/44/46 frame in my opinion would be to short for this you would have to extend the frame but your wheels would end up to far forward for this mod.
somewhere on here there is a FAQ section which shows most of the frame specs and there are some builds were they made an expodition from IIR a Troopy or buy a 62 and you could do this to it.

Run a search up top.

There are no 62 available on Brazil. Not even the original 40 and 45's were sold here. We have only the Bandeirante, which has the same frame and body of the 40, 43 (I guess) and 45, but have different mechanical parts. Including the engine. The toyota engine appeared here only after 1994! From 1961 until 1994 the Bandeirantes were equipped with Mercedes Benz engines.
We also don't have the troopy here. Only the pickup.
