put HJ75(1992) into my FJ40 and front diff is not so good i can access lots of diffs here in oz, question is which diffs are compatible?thanks for any help,Baz

its a 1992 hj75diff not clued up on them but ill check tomorrow, just done major work on it and sorting things, i think they use hilux diffs in the front but im a 40 owner so some 75 series stuff iim not too clued up on,cheers

If its a 92 landcruiser frount diff and it small like a hilux, its called a himount. and most probly a 4.11. A hilux one wont fit. You will have to get a nother HZJ75 or FZJ75 1990-1999. After 1999 thy change to 4.3.

Didnt the hi pinion 8 inch diff get intorduced in 1990? This would limit AussieFJ40 choice to 84-90 70 series

what year and ratio in your fj40 ?

Answer ? Early 40 had coarse spline diffs with a different flange etc and some had a 3.73 ratoi.

Best bet would probably be 60 series or pre 90ish 70 series diffs and swap on the appropriate flange, nearly all those diffs available locally would be 4.11 ratio

now you are getting confusing, the front diff from disc to disc is hj75(1992) i want another diff centre

the complete diff is 1992 hj75 i want to replace the centre, its had it,thats all i need is a new centre, what fits?im getting different opinions from a lot of people

Just to clear the mud and the ---------- if you got a 92 HZJ frount diff it is 4.11 and no other model will fit. All the rest are different. 80 series is 4.1 78 79 100 and 105 are 4.3. I am not sure about the petrol FZJ 1990 to 1999. Hope this helps you get the right 1
