I can't find the old post for the "Dan-c diff plug special" diff fill plugs.

I think that they where round and had an allen head on them opposed to the hex 15/16" ones. Maybe from a Celica?

Also can these be used on the TC as well?

Does anyone remember the part number of these bad boys?, BTW Dan is out of town this week.

Here is the thread you are looking for.

When ya get done distroying that plug replace it with these. Shoot, replace the drain too. Easier to remove after the rocks round off the corners.

Differential Drain Plugs, Magnetic, 10mm allen: 90341-18021 ($1.89), don't forget the washer.

They fit the fill and drains on the diffs. They do not fit the xfer case.

Great, on and off I spent 1/2 the day looking for that thread.

Please lie to me and say that it was hidden.

Word on the street it that the search function has been acting a little goofy lately.

The 90341-18021 allen head magnetic drain plugs DO work as both the fill and drain plugs on both diffs and the transfer case, at least for a 1995. The only plug where the 90341-18021 is longer than the original--and where there is not a mile of empty space behind the plug--is the transfer drain plug. As near as I can tell, the 90341-18021 has a safe 1/2 inch of clearance from a bearing when it is seated all the way in.

I have been using these plugs in all 6 positions for about 5000 miles.

Sorry, but it took me about 30 seconds using the keywords magnetic & allen; Advanced Search of the 80-Section and display Posts instead of Threads. This produced 2 hits; both in the same thread.

I was just guessing on the Xfer case and it looks like I guessed wrong. I had heard that it does not fit but did not verify this (obviously.)
