See how the rocks would slide against these? Make them more like that

I agree that your prototype and LC phil's sliders look similar but I agree that both designs look to be problematic in the hoops catching up on things. Maybe consider making the hoops continuous like the post above so that there is less to hang up on. They can still be made to have the integrated hi-lift mount.

Sure i dig what you guys are saying. Most dudes aren't out bashing on boulders every weekend like some. These are meant for those guys that fit the biuld criteria. Im also thinking of making a much heavier set that reflects a harder use. With complete protection in mind.

Like your ideas and builds. I am still at crossroads as to how I want my ride to look when finished. I want sliders but still not sure whether I will be using flares or not. I like the flares and want to keep them but am leaning toward flare less because of how they transition to the sliders. Sliders that compliment the flares and protect the lower portion of them would be great. . I like low profile sliders without the big loops because I have wife and kids and always worry about how they are piling in and out(usually fighting to get out or in).(not the wife). Has anyone thought about a simple step to be remove able while using as a daily driver. Maybe pined in or something that can be removed while wheeling. Again great builds - keep up the good work

Then call them steps or something. Sorry, I don't like the look or design, but if that is what your customers want, weld away.

Sorry, I don't like the look or design,
Ooooooh. When I said that about something LCP had done I caught hell. Oooooooh. All the guys on their knees are going to be upset with you!

Great I guess.. what do you want me to say. If its not for you then its not for you. No need to dig any holes today or any other.

If you have any interest I could snap more photos of the rock sliders I have for more ideas.

Imo Hrew tubing shouldn't be used on sliders and if you use it keep the seem inside..
It's all degrees of strength/weight. 4130 would be better than ASTM A513, which is better than home depot pipe, which is better than paper mache

True but you should always use a material that will withstand its intended purpose... I would hate to see something fail and ruin your truck... DOM has proven itself for rock rails
