I am looking for a QUALITY desk chair that serves dual purpose. Sitting here at my desk at the computer and turned 90 degrees and propping my feet up on the back of my lazy boy while watching movies etc on the TV. I have tried several brands of gaming chairs, they are crap and do not last mor than a few years at best. Several office type chairs with no success. Anyone found the miracle chair?

Herman Miller Aeron Chair.
They are expensive but comfortable for extended periods and durable. If you shop around you might find a used one for cheap.
I bought one for $50 about 10 years ago and use it daily—no signs of wear and still very comfortable.
They also lean back so you can prop your feet up.

Second that. have bought several chairs from the office stores that all had issues in a short time. went to an legit office supply and got a HM chair.

do yourself a favor and get a glass mat. trust me worth the money, plastic mats sucks. .

Anything Herman Miller.

Thanks guys, will look them up.

Check Facebook Marketplace for the Herman Miller Aeron. There’s usually a few for sale at around $350-$450.
They’re sized:
A - small
B - medium
C - large

There was a refresh a few years ago and you’re likely to find the original version rather than the updates. Either one will work well, the refresh just has better/easier adjustment features and the lumbar support is better.

Do a search on YouTube, there videos pointing out the differences and what to look for.

Stan, if you are willing to make the trek up 85 to Charlotte, check out Larner's Office Furniture on Freedom Drive. I've known Daryl more than 20 years and am sitting in a used office chair I bought from him in the pandemic. Give them a call and see what they might have available.

Thanks for the lead Dave. I will look into them. Not such a Trek and a good excuse to hunt down a different spot for lunch. It's Heather's off season, no horse events on weekends.

The Herman Miller Aeron is polarizing with some that love it and some that hate it. My company uses the Steelcase Leap v2 and I can sit in (on) those all day long with no discomfort. When Covid hit, I had to work from home and that's when I realized how important an office chair was.

I currently have a Haworth Very office chair. It's comfortable and incredibly well built but the materials aren't that great and I can't recommend it.

I’ve got some chair from staples that has tempur pedic foam on the seat cushion and on the back. It’s nice (to me). Keeps my back side happy compared to the trash I had before.

I got a Uline oversized when we redid the office - I guess I am still too fat for it as the shock constantly falls over time. I think someone is telling me to get off my ass and ride a bike or walk. Wouldn't recommend it, regardless.
