One of my main requests was to have independent volume and sub controls available next to the shifter. I hate on modern head units pressing the up and down buttons and on a lower mounted spot like the 80 it’s a terrible driving experience.

The center console was a prime location for this (along with the usb port) these were custom fabricated out of billet and should be able to have these made again for others 🤤🙌🏼

Would your stereo shop have any interest in building a couple more of these volume control knobs? Also, did they do the USB-A and USB-C plug in your other coin slot? I have 2 80s that I would like to add the volume controls and USB chargers to if they're available for purchase.

Send me a DM and I can ask about fabricating some more for you. 👍🏻

OEM 105 Series steering box with the pitman arm. Been working on cleaning up the engine bay as well!

What did you do on your wheel wells? It appears the PO sprayed some sort of rubber coating on mine and I’m trying to decide if I want to touch it up or try and remove it and do something else

Please stop posting photos of this build - I'm working from home today and you're killing me with this project.
In all seriousness, that is a just a true beauty. That's my favorite factory color for the 80, and your restoration of that truck is inspiring. What a gem. I hope you get to enjoy and drive the heck out of it. Cheers.

Loving the OEM++ look of your build.
Can you share some more info on what Dobinson shocks/springs you used? Your 80 has a nice stance with the 295's, looking to do something similar to my 80.

2.5 inch Custom Exhaust is in and it sounds great. We weren’t able to fit a resonator but I’m doing some research to see if I can find a very small one to put in near the tail pipe. This one took a couple of weeks to get installed and I had an opportunity to drive the turbo without it for a couple of weeks. EGT’s are now 150f lower in most situations and seems to be a little more powerful as well!

For the install I ended up going with a different local shop due to communication challenges with the first - it’s a big deal for me and I haven’t had any issues when I’ve worked with receptive folks who over communicate.

We have emissions in Portland so went with a new catalytic converter and new O2 sensor. Clean stainless steel angled exhaust tip and it looks very OEM+

Turbo decals on order from Australia but as I wait I wanted to find an emblem for the front grill and rear lift-gate. 🌵🌙 Needed some jewelry!

Emblems courtesy of BH3D printing - will 3d print a bracket to attach one to the US spec grill.
