all 60 series and 81+ 40 series had that combo, just differences in the split case and trans length thru the years, also a bellhousing change
which version are you after?

which version are you after?

Whichever would best attach to a 3FE. I've put a 3FE into a 1978 J40 before. I have found an unfortunately-ill-maintained and salvaged 91 FJ80 for a song in which I'd like to put an H42 + tcase. H55f would be awesome, yes but so much more $. Frankly not sure that whole fun idea would really be worth it? (lots of add'l parts and crossmembers)

Anyway, thought it would be cool to do. Does the split tcase allow for a factory PTO?

so wanting to put a manual in an early 80 series

I've got this trans from an overseas 80 series with 3F

For Sale - H150?, HF1A transfer for an "F" block

you still need to source a pedal assembly and run the hydraulics for the clutch
a split case will work with a PTO as long as it has the PTO gear and you have the correct PTO for a split case which is different than a 1 piece transfer case
