We at Delta Vehicle Systems want to say ‘Hello World!’

We are a team of engineers, racers and custom vehicle & accessories builders.

DeltaVS is Patrick, Jen and Dave and we all met while in college for science and engineering. Since then, we have been working together bringing high performance vehicle systems to the race track, off-roaders, and the daily grinders.

Patrick is known for his ingenious designs and a penchant for precision. He created much of the custom high performance parts for a world record setting vehicle while studying mechanical engineering. From bumpers to custom suspension kits, even his jigs are beautiful.

Jen is our custom upfitting and metal working woman. She has been a race team crew chief, wields power tools, welders & soldering irons. She is our certified installer for Adventure Wagon RUV kits for Mercedes Sprinter Vans.

Dave (aka @swankstar ) specializes in systems design and outfitting. He drives and builds race vehicles, obsesses over creating the beautifully simple solutions to design goals (and the perfect TIG weld bead), and is a total diesel engine nerd - from diesel conversions and custom engine swap interfaces to compound turbo systems.

Together, we have taken records on the salt flats, participated in and launched programs to engage today’s youth in STEM education, and now bring all of our obsessions and experience to the world through various products and services.

We make products that support the vehicle enthusiast market. We have always, and will always, encourage your feedback for new and existing products that make your driving world better suited to the outdoors, your high-speed and backwoods adventures. Our company, Delta Vehicle Systems, brings you quality performance vehicle accessories, vehicle upfitting, and vehicle outfitting. Every product is designed and built in Idaho, drawing from our experiences growing up in the mountains, dirt, salt and sand.

Because the three of us grew up off-roading on two and four wheels, horseback, and go karts while covered in dirt as we explored trails in the mountains, surfed in the tropics, hunted, and even made a few robots - we know full well that smart and adventurous people need tools that function well and can take a beating for a loooong time. And now that we are grown, we want those things to also look great. That is where Delta Vehicle Systems comes in.

We design all our own products for off-road rigs and can even build custom rigs (preferably involving diesel). From the simplest shelf bracket to store your sleeping bags, low profile bumpers, custom suspension, to an entire land speed or baja race vehicle. As Dave once put it: “We bleed gear oil, have welding rods for bones and see the world through CAD drawings.”

You can see our growing line of products, order parts, request a solution, or just join our mailing list at www.deltavs.com. Track us on Instagram via @deltavehiclesystems. Thanks for taking a second to get to know us and keep an eye out for upcoming products!

If you’re ever passing through Boise, Idaho PLEASE get ahold of us for a shop visit.

The only thing you have for an 80 is sold out...

Working on it...currently very busy doing a Cummins 2.8L swap for the Overland Expo West show in a few weeks. Website has taken a hit while preparing for that.

On edit: just checked the site, there is plenty of inventory listed for the FJ80 CSB on this end. Is that not the case for you?

All that listed for land cruisers is the cargo rack mounts for the rear interior roof.

Thanks for introducing yourself. It doesn't look like you guys do very much for the 80 series. Do you foresee that changing over time?

Be nice fellow haters of mud, this company is a great group with talent. I have been to the shop and discussed future projects with Dave and met Patrick.
Give them some time and I think you may be impressed with the quality of the products produced!

Nope. I saw the rack mounts as being sold out and nothing else. Bunch of stuff for Sprinters, Fords and other vehicles I don't have, though.

The storage racks are indeed showing sold out.

Well he did previously post a new thread of a center console idea in the works. So I guess there working on things for 80's, it a good start and I personally like the center console. :flipoff2: Welcome

Maybe add a thin border around each link/item. Something to visually seperate the selections. Thats how it looks on my phone. The sold out part is the sprinter van item. Could be confused by potential customers. Looks good! And the price is not bad. Hope the Landcruiser community gets more items like this!

link to web site?

should be in that first post, but I was having trouble showing the link and the actual name of the website at the same time. It wanted to default to showing as "Welcome" (name of the homepage). www.deltavs.com

All in due time good sir. Website is lower on the totem pole as we are currently doing a diesel conversion in an FJ for Overland Expo. Needs to be up and running in 2.5 weeks. That is priority #1 at the moment.

Sooo..........is there an 80 in this intro at all?

There is now! This is the above mentioned 80 getting a frame off rebuild and Cummins 2.8L conversion. Will be starting a thread on that build shortly.

Yes, we are developing a bunch of products for the conversion rig we are currently building. Front bumper, rear bumper (with modular swing outs), rock sliders, Cummins 2.8L conversion kit, center console, rear panhard drop bracket, radius arms that can be/are made for each inch of lift (I.E., you will order a 2" version if you have OME springs or you will order the 5" version if you have SLEE springs, etc, NO MORE OFFSET BUSHINGS you can use stock Toyota bushings), front bump can mounts/spring spacers built around ICON bump cans (we are dealer for ICON), more overhead storage options, potentially a modular roof rack and a nice low profile ladder system, dual battery setup that will be based on the Cummins swap (won't be designed to work with the stock engine because this is more of a reaction to moving radiators, etc), then performance stuff for the Cummins. We have A LOT of experience with Cummins engines and A LOT of long-standing relationships with the diesel industry. One of our goals is to be THE spot to go for improving performance of your Cummins 2.8 (fuel/ecomony enhancements, twin turbo kits, intercooler kits, etc). Any of that sound interesting?

Thanks @Cruzilla! You should definitely stop by next week and check out what we are working on now. You'll like it I think...

@Fj81 pointed out below that the "Sold out" for the Sprinter bumper makes it look very much like it's attached to the CSB link. Sorry for the confusion and we will see about making that easier to differentiate on mobile. Glad you pointed that out!

The storage racks are indeed showing sold out.

Will you please click on the picture and go to the page and verify? It's looking (from @Fj81 's post) that the product below it shows as sold out but it mistakenly looks like the CSB is sold out. Thanks!

Thank you! There will be plenty of other things to follow!

Great catch, thank you very much. We will have to get that cleaned up ASAP.

And a couple more pics that are 80 related:

This one is right before the body and chassis were separated:

My bad, it looks like you can still order it.

Looking legit! I can tell my biggest fear to any engine swap was the wiring. Mechanical stuff is one thing, but electrical wizardry is another. I wish your shop luck in this endeavor. The current diesel adaptor guy has some blemishes on his reputation and I think you will find a healthy customer base if you are able to put out a conversion product with short to reasonable lead times.

Personally, I’m out of the market as I just blew my load of cash on another direction.

These trucks are an incredibly niche market. I realize not everyone in this thread has been difficult, but lets all make sure to give new vendors a legitimate chance. Anyone who is willing to take on the (likely very low-margin) task of giving this vehicle aftermarket support needs to be well received in our community. Options are good, and as 80 series owners, we do not have very many. Give them a chance.

I, for one, am very excited about the potential center-console option from the other thread. I wish you all the best of luck and I look forward to seeing what the future holds!
