Opposing the Potential Designation of a Greater Canyonland National Monument

Coming off the TT high; I ran across this from the Metal Tech site.

It has come to our attention of a proposition for 1.4 million acres of Utah land to be turned into a national monument that will outlaw off road use of vehicles. This 1.4 million acres includes places like Moab and the surrounding areas.
We are asking for everyone to please click on the link provided and write to your local elective officials to help prevent this potential travesty.

The Letter

Opposing the Potential Designation of a Greater Canyonland National Monument

I took the family to Moab in May, that was my third trip and I am not one to visit the same spot twice. High on my bucket list is to get the FJC out there after a few more mods.

Someone tell me this is old news and was resolved, there is no date on the "The Letter"

HAPPY THANKSGIVING !! (let's here everyones post far near and far)

Happy Thanksgiving to all !

I'm thankful for many things in my life , but the one main thing I'm really thankful for is living in a free country where I can be thankful . Please don't forget the ones who are standing guard as we enjoy your dinners and families .

So let's here one and all who is apart of this site . How high can we take the number of posts on one thread ?

Thanks
Rocky

I'm thankful for quite a bit as well, even tho at times I may complain about the small stuff I'm a very blessed man. Loving family great kids, good friends, a job, a roof over our heads. Glad to have met you all and hope you all have a wonderful turkey day.

I'm thankful for many things as well. A good job, a good family and good friends. I'm thankful for the people who fight to make sure I can enjoy these opportunities as well.

I'm also thankful to have stumbled upon this great group as well - you are all good people in my book.

Thankful for families; my parents, sister, wife and kids. LC family a few days ago and my wife's family the weekend before. Thankful my family has the freedom offered to us by those that are defending our rights.

I am thankful my beer is cold

We have SO MUCH to be thankful for. Ditto everything in the above posts.

X2 to what FLCruiser said!

Best to all for friends and family.

Last week friday while at the local gas station waiting in line to pay for gas (diesel) this guy in front of me in line (with a hand full of lotto sheets bubbled in) says to me "you gonna get some lotto too"? with out thinking i said what for? i don't need or want anything. I don't remember what his response was but remember thinking the entire day how fortunate i already am, and if i won 10,000,000 i would not do much different. Likely invest some and give a lot of it away. i have an amazing wife an 11month old son that is healthy and teaches me every day what is important in life (love, connection, contribution, serving) great family, enjoy what i do to contribute to the community (occupation) and I'm going to connect with other good people that have toyota man toys and camp out under the stars (that was the plan any how). I got it made and i am truly grateful. i appreciate you all and it was a pleasure to see you all... Dominick

I am thankful for my family and friends. Without either these deployments would be harder. I am also thankful for the ones that have given the ultimate sacrifice to make our country what it is today.

Raffle Truck Parts Request

Dear Members of the Florida Land Cruiser Association,

For the past 15 months, the Capital Land Cruiser Club has been working to restore a 1977 FJ40 generously donated by Mark Algazy of Mark's Off Road http://www.marksoffroad.net with the intention of donating a running truck to the TLCA as a fundraising tool.

I am kindly asking for donations to help complete this project, the progress of which can be seen here https://forum.ih8mud.com/va-dc-md-cap...uck-build.html.

Many members have already donated parts, time, and money, including a complete parts truck by a member of the Capital Land Cruiser Club, space and expertise from Iron Pig Off Road http://www.ironpigoffroad.com, cash donations from Rising Sun 4WD Club of Colorado http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/forum2/index.php? and the Rocky Mountain Land Cruiser Association http://www.rmlca.ab.ca, and parts from many, many club members.

We could not have made as much progress as we have without this help, but we still need some parts to complete this project.

If you have any of the parts on this list, please consider donating them to the raffle truck.

- Rag joint for fj40 45230-36010
- Radiator Hoses
- Heater Hoses
- Fuel filter 23030-61030
- Plug wires
- V belts
- Shocks (stock)
- Hard top gaskets (top to tub)
- windshield to top gasket
- seat covers and foam
- exhaust
- side mirrors
- front and rear lights 81520-69035, 81510-69035, 81560-60110, 81550-60190
- soft brake lines
- rear marker lights 81750-60030, 81760-60020
- pilot bearing
- vacuum hoses

All parts need to fit a 1977 FJ40 with a stock 2F engine and a stock steering shaft. Send me a pm and I will let you know how you can get donations to us. If you do not have any of the parts above but still would like to help, cash certainly is helpful for paint etc.

And if someone is feeling terribly generous, we would love to put a set of 2" or 4" lift springs on the truck, but it is certainly not a necessity.

IMPORTANT: I am posting this thread to all the clubs and will not able to monitor them all. If you have something to donate, please send me a PM.

I think that this is a great project that will benefit our wonderful organization, and at the end of the day someone is going to have a nice 40 to tool around in. Thanks for your consideration.

Best,

Bart Frazier
