Wow... Weak in comparison to that planning. Wow. As a young grasshopper, I have much to learn.

Straight up the guy Archie... right up 111.... We are going to own it, or die trying. Are you still riding with Luis, or driving?

I"ll be driving up the 60 (which isn't as bad as I make it out to be). Luis may be riding with me...as of last night we were loading up his camper and 40 when an unusual scream was heard. The throw out bearing decided to try and relocate itself. After two hours of search we finally found one at the Advanced warehouse in Altamonte. Too tired to install it last night he opted to give it a go today...along with preparing a feast for his Mom for Mothers Day. I'll lend a hand so hopefully we can get it done by today's end.
Route chosen is better. I forgot but the scenery is much better with some incredible long range views as we climb up the rim and onto the plateau.

LMFAO!!! With that kind of planning you would lose me before you started. I would see a waffle house and feel like stopping on a whim. Then not stop till I was almost out of gas 400 miles later.

I like your style better...it's easier not to mention the whim stop waffle house! LOL!

Did 111 last year , but this year I'm comin prepared for the hill from transmission helll .

Wish I could be down there to help ya'll out Archie but it is Mother's Day . I don't want to make mine turn into a MOTHER this close to having to ride 9 hours in a truck with her . It would be like John Ubanks up in that big tall tree trying to not get eatin by that Bobcat one of us would need some relief .

For those of you who don't know John Ubanks , he was the professional tree climber in one of Jerry Clower's coon huntin stories .

For those of you who don't know Jerry Clower shame on ya !!

I would highly suggest you google JERRY CLOWER !!!!

Here's to a little long distance moral support for the throwout bearing. Hopefully not too hard to get to, at least he doesn't have to worry about crap falling into his face while working. The underneath of his truck is cleaner than the top of mine...

See if you can get them here by the weekend...our final load out is Monday...leaving Apopka around 5:00 A.M. Tuesday.

I havent heard back from the seller so it doesnt look like its going to work out for me. Thanks again for your offer to haul them. I appreciate it.

Meal prep: I'm putting together some ideas for food. I've come up with 5 recipes that all involve foil-cooking meals or open grill over the fire. Some assume we can catch some fish (fish tacos), others are chicken/beef meals.

I plan on getting a fair amount of chicken from Sams/BJ's tomorrow and throwing it in my cooler. I'll also bring some other potatoes/onions/etc as well. I figure I'll be able to server quite a few folks, and can expand given enough ingredients. I'll take the suggestion of waiting to buy beef until I get up there. I'm also going to see if I can find some corn since that's a great tin-foiler as well.

I can cook some good meals given the opportunity... hah!

Please chime in so I don't under/over buy before tomorrow!

Luis/Archie: good luck... call me if you need an extra hand later this evening and I'll head up there.

Mission accomplished...about to take a test drive.

As a young grasshopper, I have much to learn.

That's right, young Asshopper.

Everything here is fine, doing some minor repairs on the 40.

I'm sorry to hear that. I was hoping someone would be heading our way over the weekend.
Best of luck in getting them up there. Should there be a last minute possibility the offer remains.

How do you think the tranny in your new F450 will handle your trailer and rig plus my 60 and Carter's 80 chained to the ass end of it? :bounce:

Thank you very much.

Papi's coming so we'll have a trail photographer and our fish catcher for the tacos.

I wouldn't be too shoppy there Hollywood even though it sounds good to me. The weather looks good for communal dining but getting a head count is next to impossible until the day of. We usually share a cooking fire and occasionally try and do something simple over the fire. You are more than welcome to cook but not expected to take on the expense by yourself. Remember Friday and Saturday we are fed and we are not sure when we will arrive Tuesday evening. If we arrive a couple of hours before dark I think it would be great to sit down to your famous chicken fajitas and Luis's special Presidente margaritas! (don't forget the freshly made Guac and chips!) Whatever you want to try...go for it...you may want to take a survey at one of our rest stops.

10-4. I'll double down on the beer and wait on the food.

:D
