Insurance will easily cover a nice bullbar. BTDT, I've hit seven deer so far, never with protection.

Exactly why I've ordered an ARB bull bar for my 200. Have them on my 40. 62 and Excursion.

yep. time for a new non-OEM bumper.
Here's mine after first deer with stock bumper:
That's tranny cooler fluid on the ground. Long story short is the deer killed the tranny. Total repair (including new TJM bumper) was $25K. 200 Series Transmission Damage

Dang! Sorry to hear it. My daughter hit a deer in our tacoma last winter. Came out of nowhere in the dark while she was at about 60 mph. All the airbags went off. Cost 25k to repair. The truck only cost me 24k 2 years previous. Insurance paid to fix it. In this case an ARB wouldn't have stopped all damage, but I've hit enough deer at lower speeds, the big bull bar makes sense to me. Also provides a great winch and spot light mount. I've got one for the tacoma since. Also hit a deer in my 60 - cost me more to repair as an ARB would have. Will likely have one on there too soon. I ordered one for my 200 the day after i bought it. Took 4 months to get here, but finally got it installed a few weeks ago.

It seems like it doesn’t take much to cause a windshield washer fluid leaks with those headlight washers. When I hit an elk I got an ARB bumper after. My dad has one on his Tacoma and has hit 4 deer. No issues. Glad everyone was safe.Sad day. Smoked him on the highway.
Pretty sure the fluid is just windshield washer fluid.
Mine whacked a deer on first trip. No damage at highway speed.
Know the feeling! Got her fixed and still driving 6 years later!
If you look closely at the last photo, you will see where the buck’s horns hit the driver side door panel when he spun around from the hit. And yes that is deer poop on the leading edge of the door!
Still drivable afterwards (I did have it towed though since I was 3.5 hours from home).

I have yet to see a TJM in person. Like the pics but am still very impressed with my 3 ARB bull bars. I'm thinking of paint matching only because my 2020 truck is pearl white and I kind of like the ARB brochure pics. Too much black on a white truck can be overwhelming.
