Hey all,

I've been battling with trying to find the source of a DW I've been having.

History
Van is on 3 inch dobinsons lift
35s
All suspension and steering components are new.

Tie rods and drag links are 555. Put on about 3500 miles ago.

Dw only happens when the vehicle hits a bump or "pot hole " in the road. Can be violent at times and minor at others.

I've tried almost everything the forums have said could cause it and I'm not sure what else to try. I have put more pre load on the knuckle bearings. Tightened the panhard bar bolts to 127ftlb. The panhard is adjustable. Don't know if that has much to do with it .

I'm not at a stop as I don't know what else to check. We checked the tie rods and drag link. They seem to be ok. But I'm wondering if they are not firm enough to hold the 35s.

Thanks for any help

PS. I did read and search through a ton of forums

Regards
Dan

You can check for cracks in the frame at the steering box, pan hard mount and brace.
I would also have someone move the steering wheel back and forth while you put a hand on each steering component.
Do this with the wheels on the ground and small movements only as not to get hurt/pinched.

I think I found it thanks very much. The pan hard brace on the chassis is cracked. Thanks for the help.

IMHO the rear adjustable pan hard will make you wobble more... use OEM and put the delta relocation bracket - this made a big difference for me

Cracks
Worn wheel bearings or loose and replace spindles
Rear wheel bearings loose can cause as well
Tie rod ends
Alignment
Tires
Links not tight or worn bushings

Ill add what I had happen on mine. The front panhard upper bolt hole was oval shaped. Added plate to it and redrilled the hole, problem fixed.

Sadly I narrowed it down to a crack in the panhard bracket on the chassis. One of the famous spots to crack. I'll get it sorted in another week or 2. Just waiting on the guy to free up to come fab some braces
