Hey. My dealer (service representative who wouldn't know how to change the oil in a car) says that you cannot adjust the camber on a 2000 LX 470. This is bull, and mine is eating right front tires as a result of too much positive camber. Can anyone email me the pages from an FSM that show how this is done so I can prove to this idiot that camber adjustment is possible.

Thanks,

HKeller

tried to send you one for a 2003 LC, (which would be the same basically except possibly for the actual specs, however your profile says you are not excepting emails) You may be better waiting for someone with the corret info to send it to you. Just go to the dealer and ask him for his manual, look under Suspension, then wheel alignment, open the page and hand it back to him.

As per factory service manual page SA-5,
Front wheel alignment inspection
1. Measure Vehicle Height
2. Install Camber-Caster-Kingpin Gauge or Position Vehicle on Wheel Alignment Tester.
3. Inspect Caster, Camber, and Steering Axis Inclination.

I'm with 100 TD, go back and ask for the service manager. Then tell him his service advisor needs to go to school for his product, then reference the FACTORY manual.

dealer service rep is definitely an idiot and needs to be culled.

have the service manager come over and get the rep to explain to his boss why he can't have the CAMBER adjusted. then, with his boss there, ask for the FSM and prove him wrong. most lazy shops will say that you can't adjust CASTER on a cam IFS system (although it can be easily done), but to say that CAMBER can't be adjusted is just assenine.
