I cant make it now. Doing pads/ shoes and glow plugs, along with a couple other things, on the BJ Saturday and into Sunday. Bummed because Ive only been through GW once and had NO idea where I was going so I couldnt find places like Flagpole, etc... Ended up camping on some random mountain top just barely in Va on the border.

You could prob ride shotgun with one of the guys if you still wanted to come check it out. I'd offer my seat, but its already filled.

the trails will be really nice on saturday....more rain is scheduled for tomorrow...

what do you mean by "really" nice and "rain" in the same sentence?

I appreciate the offer but I daily drive the BJ60 and its time for its safety check so Im going to go through a few things at my parents garage since I am not allowed to do so at my place in Alexandria.

UPDATED the #1 post in this thread.

Sent PM to Topherbecker and Yukon LX with my phone #.

Let's hear it for the National Forest Service!

For those of you who received tickets on Saturday, I think that I have talked Mitch Goldman into coming to the meeting on Wednesday. Mitch is a National Forest Ranger, a wheeler as well, and his written tickets like the ones you guys got. His exact words were "It is not a fun job." But he said he would be willing to talk to you guys about it.

Since wednesday is my wife's birthday, I'll miss the meeting. But I'd be interested to hear his opinion about whether hiding just out of sight IS the best way to keep people off that land, or if it's simply the best way to generate $ 1, 500 revenue in about 45 minutes.

Felix, I owe you a beer or several for coming back and letting us know about the ranger. I was headed up the hill and you stopped me. Thanks.

All, I am willing to chip in some cash to help offset this.

We had a great time. Thanks to Tracy for letting us all tag along his family trip and for organizing the outing. The weather was great and the turnout was the best I've ever seen in the club.
The fines were a downer, but they may be fightable.

Sam

bump for location of tomorrow's meeting spot. Details are on page 4
