day time running lights

hey guys i put HIDs in my fj and i dont want them to run all the time. can anyone help me? can i just pull the fuse or cut a wire? help me thanks

Instead of cutting wires or pulling fuses, the best idea would be to put a switch in line with the headlights.

I unplugged it. Looks and works way better.

Behind Driver side headlight is a waterproof connector (White),
Unhook, its a pain no room to work.

After unhooking, slide back together but stop before it clicks.

Job Done, no DRL

You can temporarily turn them off too


Put it in Park (for AT equipped FJs) or Neutral (for MT equipped FJs)
Engage parking brake
Turn off FJ
Turn on FJ
Your DRLs are now off

you can leave the parking break on one click and should be totally fine driving.
