Can any one who has a dashbox chime in... Can I keep my grab handle when I install a dashbox? Or do I need to remove it? My short wife uses the handle when she climbs into the FJ40, so if I have to remove it...I'll have to come up with a backup plan.

The Red FJ40 is mine with the Chrome handle from SOR, It looks to me like it will fit, but can someone take a measurement for me please. Maybe from the top of the ashtray to the bottom of the Dashbox.

if you look at the pictures it does not go lower then the stock one otherwise you could not open the glovebox

i dont' necessarily agree.. but i do agree.. using my amazing guessing skills by looking at those two pictures you should be fine. you can see that there is more space between the switches using the box instead of the pad.. you should be okay.

My OH s***T! bar is a good 6 inches from touching my dash or dash box.:beer:

Thanks everyone.. I thought it would work, but all the pictures I've seen of the dash box installed, none had a grabbar...so I made me wonder if I missing something. I agree, that by looking at both pictures it would fit... but you know the old saying.. "Measure twice, cut once? :)"
