So I love my 99 LC but one thing I am trying to get used to is the lack of easy to use storage for throwing my phone, Sunglasses whatever. has anyone tried something that sits on the dash? Im going to order the console box that sits next to the gearshift, that will help. So, what are you guys doing for phone and other stuff you want access to?

I have the same problem. So far I have been using my cup holder. However I was thinking about purchasing a dash mounted cell phone holder...

I think that's the small storage box that sits just above the gear shifter to the left. It's pretty much worthless. I have it on my 04.

My sunglasses are usually there and my phone sits on that little rubber mat. Works great and $4 at Autozone.

Single Din head unit with pocket underneath is amazing. half the reason i wanted to upgrade stereos

The problem with that is I have to stick a metal plate on my phone for it to work.

Correct, but can also be concealed under a case. It's very thin.

My phone is on a Ram suction cup mount (which is amazing), the little odds and ends go in my Wits End organizer, and my sunglasses go around the range gear shift when not in their case.

Can you post a picture of the organizer? Or a link?

I guess I had thought there was no way the metal piece would fit under the back cover of my phone. I looked a bit more on amazon last night and ordered one of these out of their scratch and dent section. It was only $10 so I'm not out a ton if it won't work like I want it to. I'm not a huge fan of using a phone case so if the tab won't fit behind the cover I'm not sure I'll use the mount. I have a samsung note 4 which is already pretty big, I don't want to make it bigger with a case.

For those using the ram x-grip. Do you suction it to your windshield? I have one of those that I used in my wrangler but I also had a bar that went above my windshield defrost ducts that was awesome to attach things too.

I have been running the Imagnet or something similar in several vehicles. The magnet works really well and is secure enough to hold on rough dirt roads. The suction cup works good on the dash, but after some time it does leave a bit of a mark and in some conditions the suction cup will release and needs to be reapplied.

I use my phone for the camera so I dont have a pic of the phone on the mount. The metal disc fits right in my case and is hardly noticeable.

The best phone mount is 100% free and already in every vehicle.

just wedge your phone between your legs in the crotch area.

I got my part in on Friday and found that it does work well. The metal piece is super thin and fits between my phone batter and the removable back really well. I mounted the arm on the center console between the seat heater switches and the transfer case shifter. It works great there and on a Sunday drive into the mountains on mixed terrain the phone held solid.
