Dallas area timing belt job

I have been actively looking for a 100 series in the Dallas area, most have no proof of a resent to timing belt and water pump change. Can anybody recommend a solid Toyota shop other than the dealer for this job? Additionally any idea on a ballpark cost? I want to be able to factor it into my purchase price of whatever land cruiser or lx470 I find.

Cruiser Mechanic DFW

New to this group. I am looking for a good mechanic to baseline an 80 I'm buying out of CA and address a few minor issues . Anyone have a recommendation for someone that specializes in LC 80s in DFW? Thanks!

I recently got a quote for the job, which usually includes water pump, cam seals, tensioner and some other things, I think I recall around 1200 including parts.

really depends on how far you want to go with replacements
if you ask for a timing belt replacement, that may be all you get
I personally go all out and change everything, belt, tensioner, all pulleys, water pump, thermostat, serp belt, serp tensioner, fan bracket, rad hoses and heater "T"s, etc

I’ve used both Dajda’s and Tandem Offroad. Both sent me home way better than I left it, so I’m happy with the results. Pablo and the guys @ Tandem are super great to work with and my truck was in and out same day. They will schedule you to drop off and pick up when they are ready to work on it. Dajda’s will sit for a week or two as parts and other stuff (other jobs) come in.

I highly recommend Leksfixit in Plano. Former Lexus master tech and only works on Lexus & Toyota. I was quoted about $1600 for everything. He only uses OEM parts for everything. There’s also Mayo Automotive in Lewisville.
