Hey all

I've got everything for cv change including shims, hub flanges etc.

I've just noticed the upper control arm ball joint has a split dust boot so I'm doing another shop for parts.
Is there anything unrelated to the CV change I should really do while I'm in there as preventative maintenance?

Cheers

Inner hub seal should always be renewed. Lube the spindle bearings while you have it open.

+1 for the diff oil seals, always a good practice doing that when removing the CVs.

I didn't do my Ball Joints when I was in there and noticed all 4 were either gone or teetering on the edge of being gone. I ended up replacing them a week later. Would've been miles easier to do it while I was in there with the hub/spindle off.

Do you have a parts list for the hub flanges, diff seals, and shims? I'm doing the same this week.

When were wheel bearings last inspected and repacked? That's one to do while doing CVs.

As mentioned by others, spindle bearing grease.

@FSAuto Thank you!!!

front diff seals? Front diff fluid and crush washers?

Depends on history. I bought my vehicle used with 140k and at 160 I replaced everything (bushes, bearings, seals, ball joints, CV, rotors, pads, toe rod ends, shocks, torsion bars sway bar cushions etc)
