That seriously sucks about the accident. I'm glad to see your okay and that you were able to find a replacement truck you like.

BTW, your lights still suck. :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Thanks for the kind words, Cary and welcome back to the thread!
BTW, I'm liking the new rig better! Everything on it works and not a single blemish on it, like right outta the showroom! I was about to place an order with CDAN for parts needed to get the old rig up to par. Not needed anymore. ;) My insurance evaluator said the old one needed a HG job on it and deducted $180 because of it. The new rig has about the same amount of miles as the old one so I'm antiicpating the same thing with it soon.

Shhhhhhhhh! Don't tell anybody!!:D

How did you wreck?
I let my wife behind the wheel!!!

"The accident occurred when I had my wife pick me up from having surgery cause the hospital didn't allow me to drive and being a concerned spouse, she was focusing on me moreso the road and BAM, she hit a car at a 2-way stop sign. The Chrysler Sebring was fully damaged and me, still being drowsy from going under didn't think much about what had happened till later that day. Wife was wondering why airbags didn't deploy and my guess is because it was hit from an angle and not head-on?"

I'm glad Allstate let me retrieve a lot of my add-ons from the old rig. Co-workers were giving me horror stories that they weren't gonna let me touch the old rig cause of past experiences they had! Whew! Glad that wasn't so!

Beam patterns of these lights have been posted, that is why it is 5 pages, as we had a pissing contest about the quality of the pattern. Wade through the thread and you will get the respective opinions.

As Cary mentioned, they have been posted I believe beginning on page 4. These low end projectors have a beam(hot spot) that good projectors wouldn't give like the ones Hoser has.

I need your guy's opinion here. Due to DOT requirements, I'm thinking of using amber bulbs on the side corners since my Euro crystal turn signal lenses should be here any day and it'll be a complete white-out in the front which may cause problems though I had none on my previous rig. What do you guys think and what look do you think looks better(amber or white)? As I mentioned before, it'll look nicer if you use LED bulbs on the corner markers as regular bulbs don't blend in as well as the color is more yellow. I'm glad I connected the 3 LED's on each side to the turn signals as it is too much bling.

I would recommend going with the amber turn lights, for no other reason than it clearly identifies the corners of the vehicle in a manner that other drivers are used to seeing. At least then, if you get in an accident, they won't start arguing they couldn't tell. Also, CA law requires that the lights be amber.

As much as I like the looks of all chear/white I second cary's feeling about the amber ones.

They look pretty cool, I think.
It is nice to have options other than going OEM for some of us.

Mot;)

I think i'm liking those lights...........maybe..........the halo's bad ass!

amber. definitely. i like it.

Ok so I went back and read through the pissing match, actually pretty entertaining. hehe

Someone go buy these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYO...096647127QQcategoryZ33710QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I know MOT wrote them up but they were for RHD. I talked to these sellers over a year ago and they assured me they were correct LHD. Someone buy them and try them for me. :D I also want to hear all about them, since I missed the play by play entertainment on this thread's projector versions.

I'm for the white corner light - but I would use an LED bulb (1156 luxeon if it fits).

The stock LX450 has white lights at the corners - in the front. The amber strip is only visible form the side.

White front parking lights are fine if you have yellow turn signals.

Thanks for the input, guys! I'm gonna go with the ambers for now.

Here's a look at the LED Blinkers. I had to connect load resistors to the turn signals to keep them from hyper flashing.

The little LED blinkers are not my cup of tea.;)

Can't tell too well from the pic, but if you haven't picked them up already you'll need to get a pair of crystal-clear front blinkers to match/compliment the headlights. I've seen them on e-bay for cheap.

Just a thought.;)

I love those lights!! everytime I see this thread I want to get them.

I am definitely a fan of the white corner lights, but the yellow turn signals aren't my favorite, I guess all that really matters is whether you like them though.

It would be interesting to see it in daylight, but the led signals are not my thing.

Like the look of your lights though

The blinkers do look better seeing them in motion but I don't like the look of the 3 LED's much either and that's why they only come on with the blinkers.:)

I did order the Euro Crystal blinkers but they sent me the wrong type and I had to return and now wait some more until they ship out the right ones.:frown:

I was able to salvage one of the lamps from my old rig and tried removing the face so I can see about retrofitting new projectors but the darn thing is sealed tight!!! Any tricks on loosening the seal(heat maybe?) or I just might cut thru the ABS and pull it out that way.

Do a search on the web for BMW reflector changes or HID retrofit. You will find some articles on how to split housings open. Basically you want to bake them in the oven at about 250F for about 5-10 minutes to soften the adhesive, then carefully cut them open.

i agree, if for nothing else you're covering your own @$$. but they do look better on the LC then in the ad. good call.

I've seen the Australian clear corner lights, they look pretty sweet. Anybody have any experience with those?
