Hello everyone. New LC owner here. Was surprised by the wider spacing of the front license plate mounting holes and really had no intention of drilling into the front bumper cover but I wanted a front plate. I tried a SUBARU bracket I found on Amazon that allows you to mount a standard plate, but the standard plate is wide enough to rub on the lower paint (yes I'm a little OCD ). I couldn't find any good options short of 3M taping a plate on. I have found an guy who does custom license plates. I'm having him do a custom laser-cut acrylic plate that will be a black plate with dark greyish graphics (that is cut into the plate). The plate will be 14"x 4.5" and will have the land cruiser logo. The hole spacing will fit the 8.25" spacing found on the LC and will be big enough to fit the M6-1.00 screws used in the stock clips. I'm ordering one for now, but wanted to see if anyone else was interested. If so, I will order more.

It really depends on how many people are interested as the more I order, the lower the price. Likely somewhere in the $20-25 range plus a few bucks for shipping.

potentially interested. Can we do something other than "landcruiser" ? Cost?

3M double sided is way to go... Here it is a pic of the one I have ordered custom made from eBay and I think was $15.

Simple solution: one inch x 1/4 inch aluminum strap drilled and countersunk for factory spacing; drilled and tapped for plate spacing.

Contact seller yourspecial2god You will not find an auction for Land Cruiser, but just contact him that you want one. My is 12x4" size. He will send you a picture of the logo ahead of printing. I have it now for a year and half and still looks brand new. Note that those are made out of plastic.

For those who are wondering, the bolts are M6-1.00x20mm. I used stainless ones and painted the head with some universal black touch up paint I had laying around. Hit it briefly with the heat gun to aid in hardening the paint to the bolt, then used painter's tape on the tip of my Phillips screwdriver to keep from scratching it off when mounting.

Ok, I know this is an older thread - but just a heads up. Have been looking all over for a front plate holder and finally found one at autozone. Definitely cheap Chinese, but will work for a little longer than awhile I hope. Anyhow, used the 2 screws that came with the car to mount the holder to the bumper - no issue there. Then I used the 4 screws that came with the frame to mount my plate to the holder - problem alert!! Screwed the top one in and then the 2nd one then decided to check behind the frame - mistake. Should have checked before I screwed all the way in. The supplied screws were about 1/4” too long and scraped a nice round plug of paint off the bumper in 2 spots. Now I know - check length of screws 1st.......
