I like the option for bolt on sliders. Kind of wish I would have never welded mine on, but then again I got them cheap and they have worked. Can't access two bolts that hold the fenders on very well

Alex, I weld mine as well... Even these bolt on I have designed, I will recommend to at least run one stringer bead on each leg. I went with a B7 zinc coated bolt ( oilfield still has a hold on me....) 125,000 PSI tensile with 105,000 PSI yield strength... Then with a stringer pass... well you get the point...

Just got a few pics of my new Piggie donor frame rails from @xtremeVA. Hope to have these in a few weeks and get a front and rear in the works SOON! I plan on MILD to WILD for the PIGGIES! (Rear frame was in a slide show and couldn't pull the pics out :meh:)

@npulver , @PabloCruise , @scrapdaddy @davegonz @tucker74 @xtremeVA @bobm

Special thanks to TJ-- @PabloCruise for letting me pull measurements off his rig last time I was in Colorado.

I got my 40 bumper yesterday. I haven't fully unpacked it yet, but the items I did unwrap look fantastic. I'll get some photos in the next couple of weeks as I get it painted and installed.

Seems that no one is making a rear bumper for an 80 anymore other than slee, arb, and a few other high dollar ones. If my damm leg wasn't broken I'd make one myself, not happening till next year. If anyone hears of one hit me up. Heavy plate, d ring mounts, single swingaway, maybe one or two custom things. :meh:

Very cool! I can't wait to see what kind of goodies you come up with! It was fun looking at the old MAF design for Piggies. Front bumper design for Pigs seems tough, how do you make a good bumper that can even compete with the good looks of a Pig? Or at least not detract from their good looks...

Jason,

We should have thrown skibum's bumper in with me on Sunday and saved everyone some shipping costs!

BTW, I dropped the bumpers off at the powder coater today. I should have them installed by the end of the week. Pics incoming!!

Jason. When you get the sliders rolling....the way they sit on the floor might be a good option. Just simple rocker protection. No outriggers or steps. I guess you can't mount them on Goss but hopefully you'll have a donor to mount and get pics. The simple clean look might be what I like best.

Jeff, I'll make them however you want. I bolted these up to a local 60 and 62. Work great. I lost all my pics from the camera deciding to go to digital heaven... someone is enjoying them..

Hey J,
What paint do you recommend? I bought some TSC grade implement paint and I am not happy with it. I want a paint that can be sprayed, is relatively cheap and preferably requires a hardening agent.

The bumper looks good, but i don't like the streaks brushes leave

Would have been nice, but I think you were headed the other direction on I-80

Damnit, I keep getting you mixed up with another skibum here in Utah. Then again, I'm not opposed to a trip to Colorado!! I love the area and my brother lives in Montrose!!:D

G,

I use a Sherwin-Williams Epoxy paint, air spray... VHT makes an Epoxy rattle can that I really like.

Wait till you guys see the bumper Jason is building me for the Troopy. This man can WELD. Very talented young man, with a very good understanding of strenght, looks, and functionality. No, I'm not talking about big guy Jason. His bumpers and his ideas are fabulous. Wait till you see his hammock idea implemented on my bumper. Funny thing is, I'm Venezuelan, (very used to hammocks) and an American dude comes up with an ingenious idea on a hammock set up. It's brilliant. Jason is a very cool dude, almost as rad as his bumpers.
He started building me a bumper just on measurements I provided.
He was a 1/16 th of an inch off on two holes. Not much at all. That blew me away. Honestly, it was probably me since my eyesight is not as good as it used to be especially reading small numbered tape measures.
This man is a perfectionist. Hands down the best bumpers.
For all u 70 series guys wanting bumpers. This man is the go to man.
Tommorrow, him or I will post pics.
J (primo) thanks , and tell Andrea thanks also.

Thank you for the kind words. As I've told you and most others know, I love building peoples dreams... Why pay for a cookie cutter bumper that EVERYONE HAS, when you can customize to your ideas for basically the same cost or less.

It has truly been a pleasure working on your troopy and dealing and working with you.

Second coat of paint is down and I'll lay the 3rd down early tomorrow morning.

Have a great evening at the gorge and I'll see you and Saddie tomorrow Primo.

Jason
