Been on the custom amber DRL kick recently. I just designed some drl replacement boards for the 13-15 xenon LC200 headlights. This mod changes factory drl to a brighter amber while also darkening the look of the drl when not illuminated, driver side in front on table is stock, passenger behind is modified.
Below photo comparing factory white to custom amber drl has exposure locked to compare output.
I'm gauging interest in a DIY kit offering for those who want to modify their own headlights with a little simplification. Kit would include the adapter boards, leds, some leads of wire, and any required modules (if any). I have options for either a single color (amber) or switchback (white drl that can flash amber with turn signal). I would provide detailed photo instructions to follow once the headlight is opened up.
If there is interest, I'd estimate pricing to be $120-200 depending on which functionality you want. I'd rate this a 6/10 difficulty for the average Joe. You'd need to have a heat gun, basic hand tools, some epoxy or adhesive, the tools/ability to solder, and ability to follow instructions. Plan on taking 4-6 hours if you're going slow and haven't opened headlights before.
*Yes, I know there's no shrouds on the bi led projectors yet*
