Mobile app that talks to an odb II sensor to measure the weight of the trailer you are pulling. Anyone ever look at this unit and know what odb II data it uses to calculate various weights?

Thanks. Didn't see anything about the actual odb 2 data being used and how the calculation is done. The idea is to do it myself rather than spend $110 on their app.

According to the Youtube on the etrailer site, the device has an accelerometer (similar to a proportional type trailer brake controller) built into it as an inertia sensor. So, it uses more than the data from the OBDII port and you won't be able to DIY this one.
