I had a throttle shaft bushing that was a little loose. It will need new bushings.

With 240K miles on it he recomended that I do the full rebuild that will last another 250k miles.

He knows injector pumps so I'm taking his recomendation.

Even the techs who nothing will tell you that:D

But I tend to agree, once they are off and you have to open them up,you may as well go the whole hog and have everything checked/fixed.
Sometimes there is a big increase in power after a rebuild, particuarly in the higher rpms:cool:

D',

I think you're getting a good deal on a total rebuild of your IP. A rebuild here in Austin would be around $1k+. Make sure all the o-rings are Viton or equivalent and you should be good to go for another 200k miles.

My leak was behind/under the adnoid? It was not suppose to be leaking there.

After I showed it to my local diesel shop guy, he refered directly to the injector pump shop. He even called the injector shop between the time I left his shop and drove 6 blocks to the injector pump shop.

Here are the pics of the hole it goes in.

I finally got the pump mounted. That back bottom nut is a pain. I had to moidfy the wrench again. I tried to buy the correct wrench but the Matco, Snap-On, Cornwell, Mac tool reps do not carry them. They can order them and it would take 10 days to get.

I should have it up and running in a few hours.

Project is done.

I took it for a test drive and it seems to blowing black smoke a bit.

more power .. or less .. ?

how much boost .. ?
