I'm posting this as a feeler but also very serious. Sale is currently pending, although wanted to be proactive and get the ball rolling if things fall through.

I have a Reman'd Cummins 4BTA that has been cleaned, painted, and is palleted, ready to go.

It was originally going to go in an 80series but plans have changed. The motor was remanufactured by diesel recon in '01 and was stated to have ~50k miles.

I've seen several comparable engines go on ebay and other sources for around $5500 + shipping.

Price: Asking $5250 + shipping

I would think you would be better off using a 700r4 and then adapting that to a toyota transfercase....

That's is how proffitt's have been doing it. Evidently the built it 700r4's are going to be much better at taking the torque the 4bta will throw it is.
Adapters are available however to then choose to use the stock T-case or 60 series part-time case.
