Hi All, brought home a "project" earlier this year that I was planning to keep on the backburner, but wife isn't having it. 3rd kid on the way, just spent a few grand rehauling the suspension on my 1st Gen Tundra, and she's tired of this thing parked in the driveway.

Project in the sense that the interior isn't the best... I've been looking for an interior donor for a while now and the ones that do come up aren't any better that it would be worth the swap.

Been daily driven since I got it, AHC functional on KO2s. She's not the prettiest, but I bought her for the frame! Unfortunately, my wife thinks we've got other priorities than another 'old toyota'.

Figured someone up in the north-east might want something they can put their hands on and drive home rather than scour the country and deal with shipping/one way flying, etc.

$10K OBO for a rust free rig in the northeast!
Documented timing belt at 230k.

Sorry, was in-between work meetings when I posted this hastily yesterday.

Was previously in the 100series family and my last one I sold back in 2017 when I was getting my MBA. Fast forward to a few months ago, picked this guy up and drove it almost 3 hours home. Has been a DD since then and the plan was for it to be a dedicated winter car for trips to VT, NH etc.

But we've also got two little ones, and another on the way. My wife's first words were "the kids are never getting in that thing." Obviously 100series folks are used to seeing torn front seats, but it wasn't what my wife expected when I said I was bringing home a new car.

A/C blows ice cold, heated seats work (a little bit too well since I think I can feel some of the element under me), telescoping steering wheel, folding mirrors, AHC cycles through each height setting. I've done basic baselining of Oil Change / Front Diff / Rear Diff / TCase / Adjusting e-brake / lubing and greasing DS zerks / heater T's.

Has Pioneer headunit with bluetooth and backup camera. **DOES NOT HAVE** rear bench. I didn't think it was worth saving. Prior owner had three kids and the amount of gums, melted candies, snacks etc that were in the 2nd row seats was ridiculous. I'll update with interior pics later this evening after work.

The only immediate need i was planning to address in the future would be Valve Cover gaskets. I've since re-torqued the existing bolts, but for peace of mind it's worth doing. Then was deciding whether to refresh AHC or tear it out and go conventional convention, and refreshing the ball joints and bushings while doing that. And also a fluid film towards the fall as it gets ready for life in the north-east.

Let me know if there are specific questions anyone's got. Clean title in hand, in my name. Also still have factory side steps for those interested.

As far as price point, it seems like everything in the local market up here is 8-10K with the standard New England rusted frame, rusted tailgate, rusted rockers, etc. But I don't think the average facebook buyer is getting under the cars they're shopping around for and poking around to check, so I figured this group would have a better appreciation for it. And replying to a million "is this available?" brain dead questions on FB is getting old.

Fairly motivated -- leaving for vacation for 3 weeks at the end of the month! Would like to see this gone before I head out!

Rear bench acquired yesterday for $150 from a '00 LX donor from a guy doing a sleeper setup in his.

Installed it today 07/23 but need to detail -- raining for the next few days.

Rust free, documented timing belt at 23x,xxx, backup camera, Bluetooth, functional AHC. Jump seats also included but not currently installed. Running boards also included but not installed. KO2s. Ready to roll.

At this point the worst cosmetic issue are the front seats, like 80% of LC/LCs of this age/mileage with original seats.

Feels good to be back in America! Fall is just around the corner... All PM's replied to!

Regarding recent service (besides the work that I've done mentioned above), I've got an invoice from 03/2023 @ 236xxx miles for around $3,200 at G. WIN Auto Repair in San Diego, CA.

Replaced: Front brake pads - $220
Replaced: Timing belt kit w/ Water Pump - $1,036
Replaced: Left and Right Axle Shafts - $734
Replaced: Rear Ceramic Brake Pads - $220
Replaced: 2 Rear Brake Rotors - $254

And another invoice I've got is from 08/23 for steering rack bushings replaced @ 249,xxx miles at Kinderhook Toyota.

By comparison, here's a gem posted local to me here in CT a few days ago... 'an 02 with 240kish miles, and a swiss cheese frame.
You can replace seats... can't replace that.

***to clarify, frame pic above isn't my car, just a data point for comparison of what typical north-east cars look like***

New AHC globes installed yesterday 08/01. See thread below to not clog up this post.
