From Hagerty insurance (which covers my FJ40)

Published on Jul 2, 2013
Zach Vanderhoof was just 12 years old when his dad told him about a 1975 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 that was rotting away in a field and encouraged him to buy it, despite the fact that the younger Vanderhoof had his heart set on a Bronco. The two worked together over the years to restore it to its former glory, and now Zach wouldn't dream of selling it.

Here are some pix a friend of mine recently took at some petroglyph sites in the northern foothills of the Picacho Mountains, in the desert between Tucson and Phoenix. They were found in some low volcanic formations, where landslides had exposed large boulders. The surfaces of the boulders have a dark oxide layer known as “desert varnish”. Petroglyphs were created by picking into the desert varnish with sharp stone tools. The other form of rock art, pictographs are made by painting the rock.

That red and white thing has a chrome bezel but it too is upsidedown. Curious once one has been mofified this much do you stll consider it a Land Cruiser? I need to do my home work on what all these FJ40s are selling. Thought the high dollar were the original ones. But this year there are so many FJ40s of different types curious what sells for the highest.

Surprisingly, the red and white one still had Toyota gear after the auto trans.
