Our resident CSC member and one of our  100 series representative, Bluecruiser, shared some pictures with me of a recent Ouray, CO expedition with some fellow 100 series members from the region.

His friend, Jon Harris, evidently has some mad photo skills and a top notch camera. Chris said I could post up some of these pictures that would be a shame not to share. Even a couple photos taken at night.

Here is a link to a larger version of the first landscape picture that is better appreciated in a larger format and better detail. http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i462/jonharis/100s In the Hills -- 2012/Day434.jpg

Thanks for sharing Chris!

I highly recommend the Ouray area to anyone looking to see awesome scenery and have a lot of fun exploring trails. It's about 8 hours away and well worth the drive. Been there 4 years in a row and hope to go for the next 4. Great little town too for the whole family to check out.

We go every summer! ...and a couple times in the winter

If you ever need a good deal on a hotel in town, walk into the "Ouray Hotel" and tell Dale (owner) that you know Loren & Tary Vanstone...

I would love to try this ride, but not in that vehicle. If he had sliders, would he have made it??

Sliders reduce clearance, so they would have made it worse. They needed a lift/bigger tires/shorter wheelbase to make it.

Ive heard they also use makeshift cranes to lift the trucks over and drop them on the other side to be driven into the states full of drugs.
