I have been watching as well, but at night. It was hard to pinpoint how far up the ridge in the dark. It was either Tuesday or Wednesday it was a simple line that one air drop could have done wonders. Thanks for the perspective.
Also been told they will probably let it burn because it will create better Bighorn sheep habitat.

They have been letting a lot of fires down here burn as well to clear out years of dead growth and grasslands.

A couple of weeks ago while driving through NM we saw this in Reserve, NM. Their historic markers are a bit more interesting than the ones I have seen in AZ.

Seen this out out kitchen window. Spotted him a few days ago but was spooked by a neighbor. Today he is bedded down with the cows and calves which number in the teens.

Smaller bull with only four cows and a calf.

One of cows figured I was there and they moved on. Bull grazed over to where the cows were. I could tell when he sensed I was there and followed after the. Cows.

Popped up in my Facebook feed from nine years ago. My friend's truck broke down in Newman Canyon (north of Mormon Lake and FS 132). We were down a rocky, rutted road called 132D and the tow truck wouldn't drive down to get him so my largely un-modded 80 and I pulled him up. I still have that truck...and that hat...and both shirts...and thank goodness both of those friends. Come to think of it, it's been 9 yrs since I was drawn for archery elk....

No but coincidentally same friend has a beat up, now undrivable (but not beyond rescue) V8-modded FJ55 in his back yard!
