Looks like Toyota realized they are a pos after allFROM TOYOTA:
Because of the continuing increase in the cost of recalibration of past model year vehicles, along with rising development and engineering costs have forced Toyota to take a hard look at the continued viability of the TRD Supercharger program. The return on investment for the program has dwindled to the point that a solid business case can no longer be made for continuing to market this product.
Effective immediately, Toyota will begin selling down all existing inventories of TRD Supercharger assemblies and component parts as the first step in eliminating these products from TRD Performance Accessories line-up. Sales of all TRD Supercharger kits will end when current supplies are exhausted. Beginning with all Model Year 16 vehicles, there will be no TRD Supercharger applications available. Calibrations for MY16 vehicles will not be supported. There will be no possibility of having a MY16 engine control module re-flashed to support the installation of a TRD Supercharger.
Orders for TRD Supercharger kits will be controlled to avoid having all inventory end up in the hands of one or two dealers. Dealer orders for Superchargers will be limited to no more than 5 pieces each for any impacted supercharger part number for the entire month. Any orders for more than 5 pieces of a related part, per dealer, over the course of the month will be automatically canceled. After June 30th, dealers will be able to order all remaining supercharger inventory without limitations. Also, per the Toyota Dealer Agreement and federal law, Service Replacement Parts and technical support for past models will continue to be available for at least ten years, including recalibration of MY 15 and earlier vehicles as required.
Despite the loss of the Supercharger program, TRD Performance Accessories are still well-represented with exhausts, suspension components, wheels and other trim features that add an aggressive style note wherever they are seen. The rich heritage of TRD will continue to be made available to all Toyota dealers with the remaining parts offerings.
