Crusier for in Texas on E-bay

It has a rear-difflock, in case you didn't notice. That's one in it's favor.

You might run a car-fax, but doubt it would tell you anything. Ask over in chat; maybe someone paid for unlimited car-fax's and will run the vin for you.

Other than that, call the dealer and see if you can get a feel for them yourself.

you're looking at a reserve of at least $30K, I think --

-- I think, too, that the coloring is ugly -- just me though --

Ryan, I did contact the salesman. I got him at home and he didn't have much information about the truck. Just that they are the biggest dealer in Texas.
Erics-bruiser, I haven't seen a '99 or '98 with any bids over $22k in the past two months that I have being looking. I would love the "river rock", but buying use I have to be flexible someplace.

That's cool then -- why not email the seller and ask their selling price outright?

I am leery of buying stuff sight unseen -- there's a lot of crappy people out there, and it just so happens that a lot of them sell used cars --

Thanks Guys.
I am in Canada and it not that easy anymore to fly into the us for the weekend. I'm even dreading the away ticket idea at customs. I see a pretty good one in Ok with less mileage and a few marks on the bumper: no reserve.

I'll let you know what happens.

shaymous,

We've had several Canadian members import their vehicles so be sure to do some research here. There are many good posts concerning importing a US Cruiser into Canada. You must know exactly what you're doing ahead of time.

Tyler lives in Canada and he bought his 80 from a Texas dealer through an eBay contact. Everything went OK, but as he's posted, it could have been a nightmare. I believe Mark Brodis has some fond memories of a vehicle transaction gone bad.

I'm not trying to disuade you from going through with your plan... just suggesting that you get informed first.
