I live on a dirt road and and use my trucks for tree work and have recently purchased a used fender with no snorkel hole and have sourced (THANKS Charles!) a non-snorkel air intake so that I can remove my snorkel. I am so sick of talking to people about it I am nearly willing to sacrifice Horsepower, engine longevity, deep water fjordability and any other "benefit" the snorkel provides….Although Charles' experience has me wondering if a rotating head on the snorkel/camera mount would be easier to install than a mere backup camera….I run trailers and rig stuff off the front and back of my trucks (most often not at the same time) so that might be enough of a benefit to warrant keeping it….
