I could not agree more. However, having a CB is much, much better than having no radio at all, so we'll get them tuned up.

Speaking of, my CB could use a tune, so we'll add moonshine to the list of trucks requiring a tune up.

It's not too hard, takes maybe 30 minutes per vehicle assuming nothing is very wrong.

Hey guys,

First of all, thank you Darin for letting all the new members become aware of why this event is called Logan's Run. Logan was a real cruiserhead. He had such a passion for his 80 that I will never have. He was like a lot of ONSC members that "enjoyed" breaking something on the trails, just so he could play mechanic. I say this because so many members of ONSC remind me of Logan. This event is not only about Logan though. Last year money raised from Logan's Run went to Tread Lightly and the Blue Ribbon Coalition for the preservation of trails. ONSC is not just a "drinking club with a Toyota problem".

Second, i'm at a loss at how I can pass inspection with Logan's 80 because of the recovery points rule. I do have a bumper powder coated and ready to go on the rear but, as everyone knows, I have only a bar welded to the frame on the front. Logan talked about putting a tube bumper on the front but that was always a future mod. I do not have the skill or equipment to change this situation before LR. Ideas?

Thirdly, since we have a limit of 50 LC's, can we start a list of all attendees with children present. I would like to furnish all the kiddos with YooHoo's (Logan's favorite) and PBR's for adults. Sidenote, Logan drank PBR's because not many people would bum his beers.

Right now planning on being there with both my boys and maybe even the wife...If the wife comes along I'll probably be in the Runner.
She says its the noise and rough ride she doesn't like, but I think for her, The Jalopy is like another woman. It get too much of my time, attention, love and $.

Parking brake fixed (as much as these POS drums work I guess), CB ordered from happy AmazonWarehousedeals (Midland 75-822 40 Channel CB-Way Radio), so hope to be there too. I may bring wife or bodyguard/slave/gofor (teenager boy).

Kenny. I have a factory tie down loop you can have. Adequate for recovery point. We will just have to source the hardware to mount it. I remeber last year some issues pulling you up the ledge though ??? Johnny's tow hook though and I think it was a 60 vs 80 spacing I believe.

I know Jason has offered up an old tie down loop as an option. I was digging through some scrap iron today and found the hook below. The holes on this should line up with holes already on the frame on the front of your 80. I pulled it off my 80 shortly after I got it.

I would use either a metric grade 12.5 or a standard grade 8. You might already have a welded nut back behind , from the pic I am unsure but if it is then run a metric 12.9 grade. It will be around a 10mm size.

The tow hook on my rig (that I bought from harbor freight) wouldn't fit on the FJ80 frame. The bolt spacing was different.

@Roxx , one recovery point would suffice, but two would be ideal.
